Minister Stephanie Wakefield, founder of Wailing Women Ministries, has a 29 year professional career in healthcare, as well as a 27 year history of Christian ministry outreach and benevolence work.

It was 25 years ago that God called her to establish Wailing Women Outreach Ministries which was ultimately launched to the public in the spring of 2009. Minister Wakefield has firsthand experience in rising from the welfare rolls as an unwed teenage mother, to becoming a professional nurse, obtaining a Masters Degree and becoming a successful public administrator, entrepreneur and ordained minister.

Minister Wakefield readily acknowledges that these accomplishments could never have been achieved without the love of God and the prayers, encouragement, tutoring, guidance, and financial support of people in her immediate and extended family, church family and the people in her community who cared. Minister Wakefield is determined to live by the Word of God found in Luke 12: 48(b) … “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required…” and John 13:35 “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
